The Latest Developments In Swimming Pool Toys

by Ryan Carlson

Are you planning on having a swimming pool put in? Or, do you have one already? In either case, if you have kids or teens in your home or extended family then for sure you need to take a good look at today's new and improved pool toys. You really do need to buy some because if you don't have any around, the kids are simply going to make their own or drag items from around your home into the pool.

Now one of the developments that really make good sense is "none deflating" floating devices. Spongy toys that in years past had to blown up are now filled with foam that won't become waterlogged. Now the nice thing here is that they won't go flat when the dog bites them and also you don't need to keep an air pump around to re-inflate them like folks used to have to.

For sure you need a few balls for your pool because kids of all ages love to use them in games, and for floats. What you do need to be aware of though, is that standard sports balls like footballs, and basketballs are too heavy, and dangerous for pool play. Kids can get hurt. So make a point of only buying lighter and safer balls that are specifically made for use in water.

Then for sure you may be surprised to discover all the changes that have taken place in large "inflatables". They're bigger, better, last so much longer, and are also far more affordable than in years past. Some of the most surprising developments in this area come in the form of huge soft floating islands that even have a water slide on them. Also check out poolside inflatable slides.

Remote controlled, battery powered boats of all sizes and shapes are now so much cheaper to buy then they've been in the past. They're also a heck of a lot more durable, and come ready to go right out of the box, so you don't have to build anything. Kids and adults both love them and the nice thing about these types of pool accessories, is you don't have to get wet to enjoy them.

No matter what though, as you go about your shopping, don't forget one thing and that is that you will need a place to keep all the toys, floats, balls, and games etc. Somewhere to put them when they're not in use. To keep them from simply sitting out in the sun in your yard, or stuck floating around in your pool. A nice piece of netting hung on your fence works great for this, as does a large new plastic trash can.
