Investigating Bee Removal In Woodlands

by Amie Sharpe

The time of year when there will be the most need for bee removal in Woodlands will be in spring. That is due to the fact that these creatures most often seek a new home at this time of year. One can elect to simply eliminate a colony of them through spraying, but that is usually not necessary or desirable. These valuable creatures are currently in short supply. Using poison is also environmentally harmful and can leave behind contaminants.

Many people find bee swarms frightening, but they are not prone to attack at this point. They will have gorged themselves on honey just before taking off. This leaves their stingers poorly aimed for attack.

If you find a colony settling in where you do not want them, it makes sense to wait a couple of days before taking action. Often they will take flight again in this period. It is when they begin hive building that you will no that they are staying put.

It is easy to move them if they have not yet engaged in hive building activity. You should move around them in the early hours of the morning when it is still cool. They will be less active then. It is possible to walk right up next to them without causing much of a stir.

At this point in their nesting, beekeepers will be eager to scoop them away. If you contact local ones in your area, you will very likely be able to find someone willing to come out to your property and rid you of them at no charge. They will bring a special box to sweep the creatures into. The queen has to get included in order for the hive to survive. She is the only one among them capable of producing any offspring.

If you discover that there is a hive up in the rafters of your attic or in some crawlspace of the house, it is time to call in a person that knows how to manage such an instance. You can not simply spray stuff that will kill the bees. There will still be a hive full of honey left behind. Without a colony to guard it, insects and rodents will move in to claim it.

Bee removal in Woodlands is a job for qualified technicians once a hive has been established and the creatures have manufactured honey. The bees, hive, and honey will all have to be taken away. People in this line know how to accomplish this quickly and safely.
